Challenge
SkyShowtime wanted to cut through the noise and innovatively reach sci-fi fans and gamers directly, introducing the TV series to build affinity with audiences familiar with the game franchise or sci-fi entertainment as a whole.
Running in 6 markets: Poland, Norway, Hungary, Finland, Sweden, and the Netherlands - the priority was to actively engage with an audience from these regions exclusively.
Solution
We ran channel tenancies across the board over 6 weeks, allowing for active discussion and direct engagement with members of the communities, integrating into niche, contextually-relevant. communities
We featured push notifications per episode drop, keeping communities up-to-date with the timeline of the show.
Targeting communities in focused regions with keyword mentions around sci-fi or Halo lead to higher engagement and a stronger user reception.
Worked with communities to create bespoke content in local languages to boost levels of audience engagement.
Results
By implementing posts in native languages based on each community, we secured a unique reach, secured target clicks, and raised a significant level of awareness for the show.
Custom channels provided a hub for conversation about the new series:
The best performing community so far is a Swedish server, whose posts about Halo was curated by the community manager in their native language.
This demonstrates the importance of allowing communities to produce their own altered version of posts, as there is a clear increase in engagement when showcasing this.
To raise awareness, it's crucial to capture the attention of community members by crafting messages that resonate with them, tailored to their unique style and language.
Channel tenancies also offer an excellent opportunity for members to engage in conversations and maintain dialogue about the campaign.
