Samsung was seeking a unique way of showcasing the new Galaxy S24 Ultra in the UK.
Through the pairing of popular creators within the gaming space such as Jelly, Slogo, and The Yogscast, Samsung published three public arcade maps within the popular game: Fortnite.
The goal was to drive users to play their custom Fortnite maps while increasing awareness about the new Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Solution
Leverage Wildfire’s exclusive network of Fortnite communities to build tournaments around Samsung's custom maps to drive participation.
Samsung S24 Ultra and custom map content was hosted in a Sponsored Channel to give Samsung 100% SOV and additional brand awareness. Samsung custom maps were seamlessly integrated into each community by providing prizes for the tournaments.
Pairing these formats with a UGC giveaway 'Selfie Star' allowed for unique integrations and drove high community engagement.
Results
Samsung was able to partner with 12 different Discord communities and efficiently execute gaming tournaments across each one to promote their custom Fortnite maps.
Using a Fortnite map tracker, we were able to show spikes in people playing the maps that directly corresponded with each community post. Samsung was able to successfully reach a highly desired and engaged audience at scale.
