Intel & Currys wanted to promote their gaming hardware with a campaign designed to find the "10 best gaming setups in the UK"
Challenge
Intel & Currys wanted to promote their gaming hardware with a campaign designed to find the "10 best gaming setups in the UK". People were asked to submit pictures of their PC gaming setup for the chance to win £250 and be featured live on Miniminter's Twitch stream.
Their goal was to generate UGC from UK-based PC gamers and drive traffic to their sponsored Twitch streams.
Solution
We recruited UK-focused PC gaming communities for the campaign.
Intel and Currys' Sponsored Content encouraged users to submit photos and watch the Twitch streams using custom tracking links. Wildfire was able to tailor the messaging for each individual community at scale.
Several communities hosted giveaways and tournaments where their audience had to watch the stream or submit UGC in order to take part in the community-specific event.
Results
Currys & Intel were able to successfully target PC gamers in the UK and generate quality submissions for their campaign. Community specific messaging and events helped exceed our content submission target goal for the campaign.
Posting 4x across multiple touchpoints in each of the 9 communities was an effective frequency to drive awareness and engagement in partner communities.
Communities that incorporated events around the campaign saw the best results. It made the messaging more authentic to the community and provided value which drove participation.
