Discoverability on Discord is a challenge for new servers, so without a way to organically grow, making people aware of the new and up-coming game and related server was the main objective.
Solution
Thoughtfully integrated content was essential: being able to leverage communities' interests allowed us to increase audience engagement while maintaining a welcomed approach.
To drive new audience members, we used an early access hook to answer the "why join" and "why now" questions that community members have.
Producing giveaways and tournaments, paired with channel tenancies that revolved around each community allowed us to produce seamless integrations with high audience interaction.
Results
Boasting an impressive 6,221 clicks, 3,108 joins, a CPC of $1.55, and a CPA of $3.10, it's clear that a key takeaway from this is to produce integrations that run seamlessly alongside a community's interests.
Running a sponsored tournament with one of the communities led to higher levels of audience engagement, which produced a CPC and CPA of $1.32 and $2.96, making this community the most cost-effective, clearly showing integrations that are in line with community interests will be more effective than simple ad-placements.
